For over thirty years, the prestigious Private Reserve wines have offered the best that Beringer and the Napa Valley have to offer.
PRIVATE RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Beringer first acquired Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Lemmon Ranch (later called Chabot Vineyard) in 1977. Laurie Hook carries on the exemplary standard of quality, consistency and balance that the Beringer Private Reserve is known for worldwide.
PRIVATE RESERVE CHARDONNAY
Beringer's Private Reserve Chardonnay highlights the richness and complexity of this varietal and has been a benchmark Chardonnay since its first vintage in 1978. This wine is usually a single-vineyard Chardonnay sourced from the Gamble Ranch Vineyard in Oakville. The 1994 Private Reserve Chardonnay was awarded "Wine of the Year" by Wine Spectator.
The techniques used to make this special Sauterne-style dessert wine were developed by Myron Nightingale, Winemaker from 1971–1985, and his wife Alice. intense flavors that come from this wine are remarkable, and it is a beautiful demonstration of how science and art can come together in winemaking.
Beringer farms an extraordinary collection of seven single vineyard sites including several at mountain-top elevations.
When vintage conditions allow, Beringer produces small individual vineyard bottlings that are the utmost expression of each vintage and of site-specific terroir. Because of the very limited nature of these bottlings, our single vineyard Cabernets are available for sale only through our web site and at our winery. You can also find our Bancroft Ranch Merlot at fine restaurants and wine shops.

LEARN ABOUT MASTER BLENDING
Each of our Distinction Series wines has a unique story about what makes it special. This collection includes Quantum Red Blend, Luminus Chardonnay and Knights Valley Reserve Cabernet.
BERINGER LUMINUS CHARDONNAY
Beringer is pleased to introduce Beringer Luminus. This elegant, balanced Chardonnay reflects the unique terroir of the Oak Knoll district and is noted by its distinct focus.
BERINGER QUANTUM RED BLEND
A quantum is the smallest unit of energy achievable in science. The combination of these tiny particles results in a system of great expression and complexity. Similarly in wine, each grape varietal offers unique flavor and structure, and each vineyard contributes yet another unique expression of those characteristics. The blend of this wine shifts from vintage to vintage, driven by the evolving varietal expressions each year.
BERINGER KNIGHTS VALLEY RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Knights Valley is the perfect place for a unique style of Cabernet Sauvignon, and there are a few extraordinary blocks within this vineyard that offer the truest, most distinctive expression of the Knights Valley terroir. The 2009 vintage marked the launch of Knights Valley Reserve, and was awarded Wine Spectator's #8 Wine of 2012.
